The Da Camera Society’s famed “Chamber Music in Historic Sites” series continues in Pasadena. Committed to pairing world-class ensembles with historically and architecturally significant buildings in the Southland, their latest concert brings the Da Camera Players III to the opulent Gold Room of the Pasadena Civic Auditorium. Few rooms anywhere are a better match for this exquisite and varied program of Beethoven, Barber and Chausson. Violinist Ida Levin and pianist Anton Nel open the concert with Beethoven’s melodic Spring Sonata. Audience members can then revel in Samuel Barber’s String Quartet, before being transported by Chausson’s sumptuous Concert in D. In addition to Levin and Nel, the Da Camera Players for this sure-to-be memorable concert include Cindy Wu (violin), Tereza Stanislav (violin), Briam Dembow (viola) and Antonio Lysy (cello).
