Tennessee En Cuerpo Y Alma: Romantic Fantasy in Spanish
The Los Angeles Theatre Center (Los Angeles, CA)
Playwright Ximena Escalante celebrates the 100th anniversary of Tennessee Williams’ birth with this fantasy that finds the playwright’s famed character Blanche DuBois coming to life to help him navigate a serious case of writer’s block. Passionately in love, the scribe and his muse create a new work entitled A Streetcar Named Serenity, which finds Blanche ending up in a far better place than just having to “depend on the kindness of strangers.” Tennessee En Cuerpo Y Alma (Tennessee in Body and Soul) is performed in Spanish with English supertitles.
