Long Beach Shakespeare Company’s Richard Goad Theatre (Long Beach, CA)

“All the world’s a stage” in this romantic comedy featuring thwarted lovers, a clown and women disguised as men. Two dukes’ daughters flee a dangerous situation at the royal court and end up in the mysterious Forest of Arden. There they encounter comical twists and turns on their merry romp toward an eventual happy ending, where true love wins out. Through mischievous misunderstandings, pleasing poetry and hilarious happenstance, As You Like It shows that the forces of romance and justice can make an out-of-kilter world right again.
