Priscilla Queen of the Desert is coming to the Pantages. This fun-filled musical based on the cult favorite film follows three friends as they embark on the road trip of a lifetime. Drag queen Mitzi has a lead on a job (and a chance to meet his son) so he grabs his fellow drag queen Felicia and his old friend Bernadette — a recently widowed transgender woman — and the unlikely trio hop aboard a battered old bus for a trip through the Australian outback. They end up on a life-changing, music-filled adventure to find love, friendship and acceptance. Winner of the 2011 Tony Award for Best Costume Design, this hilarious and heartwarming show features more than 500 dazzling costumes as well as a virtual hit parade of dance favorites, including “It’s Raining Men,” “I Love the Nightlife” and “I Will Survive.”
