The Shakespeare Center stages what is arguably Shakespeare’s most popular play in the outdoor Japanese Garden of VA West Los Angeles. Director Kenn Sabberton, a decade-long veteran of the Royal Shakespeare Company, gives this romantic and crowd-pleasing comedy a classic LA twist, finding specific inspiration in the city’s cultural revolution in the late ’50s and ’60s. Follow the adventures of four young lovers and a group of six amateur actors, controlled and manipulated by a trendsetting sprite.
