August 20, 2013 3:00-5:00pm Remarks at 3:30pm Come celebrate a new art piece and message of hope for the Cabbagetown and Regent Park communities. Local artists, the Toronto Muralists, painted the mural, Hope in the City, beautifying the side of the Double Take thrift store. The mural is the result of months of work by Yonge Street Mission staff and the artists. There will be live entertainment, including live music from Kaysun, a local singer and songwriter, and a dance performance by a member of the YSM community. During the event, attendees can snack on free popcorn and free ice cream from Bow Tie Ice Cream Truck.
