Called by playwright Edward Albee “the greatest American play ever written,” this dramatization of small-town life has been adored by audiences ever since its debut. It’s the story of young lovers George and Emily — as well as their families, friends and neighbors — as they grow up, fall in love and discover the darker side of life. Narrated by the Stage Manager, this groundbreaking play won the Pulitzer Prize for Drama in 1938, and will be presented in the playwright’s definitive version.
