Yes, this month we’ll be screening a 70s sci-fi classic that almost defies description but just for fun, let’s try! If you gave a million dollars to a bunch of hippie, first-year acting students and told them to make a movie, Zardoz would be the result! As such, it contains a lot of Big Ideas, weird-as-fuck performances, and wonderfully gratuitous nudity. Watching this half-baked wreckage is practically a hypnotic experience, and the WTF moments keep piling up until you’re completely buried in a monstrous, cinematic fever dream. Plus! Sean Connery is dressed in what looks like a big red diaper for almost the entire movie… except, you know, when he randomly shows up wearing a wedding dress (!) midway through.
