Will Arnett, one of Hollywood’s funniest funnymen, star of Arrested Development and 30 Rock, comes to the Egyptian Theater to screen and discuss one of his all-time favorite movies, Withnail and I. A black-comedy gem produced by the Beatles’ George Harrison, Withnail and I stars Richard E. Grant and Paul McGann as “resting” (i.e. chronically unemployed and totally broke) actors. Desperate to escape the squalor of their London flat, they head out for a weekend at the country cottage owned by Withnail’s gay Uncle Monty (Richard Griffiths). Filled with wonderful period details and hilariously quotable dialogue, Withnail and I ranks among the best British films of the last 30 years.
