Billed as a “19 piece 1930s New Orleans Orchestra & Cabaret Show,” the act is much more than the sum of its many parts. Infusing music of the early jazz era with the fervor and showmanship of a modern rock ‘n’ roll show, Vaud and the Villains light up the stage with brilliant renditions of parlor songs, spirituals and Mardi Gras classics. Now they break from assembling Original Salvation, their much anticipated new album, to return to the Ford Amphitheatre, as inspiring and spontaneous as ever.
