Three of the hottest R&B acts of the ’90s fire it up during Throwback Sizzling Jam. At the club, on the radio and in the bedroom, the music of 112, Silk and Troop was everywhere. Songs like 112’s “Only You,” “Anywhere” and the ubiquitous “Peaches and Cream” defined the times. Ditto for songs like “Freak Me” and “Happy Days” from Silk’s double platinum album Lose Control. And then there’s Troop (Total Respect Of Other People) who posted five No. 1 chart-toppers, including “All I Do Is Think of You” and “Sweet November.” Relive the best of the ’90s while supporting a great cause: Proceeds from the concert benefit the GEMs initiative, which enables low-income students of color to receive scholarships and attend private high schools.
