LGBT celebrities share their inspiring success stories in the new documentary It Got Better, screening as part of L.A.’s famous Outfest, and followed up by a live discussion featuring the iconic George Takei (Star Trek), NBA player Jason Collins, producer-actor Dan Bucatinsky (Scandal, Web Therapy), attorney Melissa Goodman and more. Produced by the team behind the It Gets Better project, this uplifting film offers personal anecdotes from the likes of Jane Lynch, Laverne Cox, Tegan and Sara and Tim Gunn, along with the scheduled panelists, who’ll discuss the state of the LGBT community a year after the Supreme Court reversed the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA).
