Original members of Cameo come together to play their classics “Word Up” and “Candy” for this funk-focused opening weekend of Alpine Village’s Oktoberfest. Evelyn “Champagne” King will belt out hits like “Shame” and her early ’80s chart-topper “Love Come Down.” And keeping the Soul Train line going strong, there’s Con Funk Shun (“Chase Me,” “Ffun”) and Ohio soul ensemble Slave (“Slide,” “Just a Touch of Love” and “Watching You”).
