Americana artist Sara Watkins is set to show off her full range of award-winning vocal, songwriting and instrumental talent when she takes the stage at Pepperdine. Best known as one of the founding members of the Grammy-winning prog-folk-rock trio Nickel Creek, who recently celebrated their 25th anniversary with a new album and tour, Watkins is also a successful solo artist with two well-received discs under her belt. She’s guested on and traveled with A Prairie Home Companion, as well as opening for Jackson Browne on his latest acoustic tour, and she and her brother Sean also host the long-running Watkins Family Hour at the Largo.
