Tea for Three is a one-woman show that provides witty and intimate glimpses into the wives of three former U.S. presidents: Lady Bird Johnson, Pat Nixon, and Betty Ford. The show’s co-writer and star, Emmy-award winning actress Elaine Bromka (Days of Our Lives, Uncle Buck), was inspired by research she conducted while preparing to impersonate eight first ladies in a PBS show. She saw the women were intelligent and gritty, yet thrown into a fishbowl as they achieved unwanted celebrity status. Tea for Three presents a behind-the-scenes look into the personalities of these strong women in a show that is perfect for both men and women of any political persuasion.
