Before Minnie Driver became a movie star, lighting up the big screen in Circle of Friends, GoldenEye and Good Will Hunting, she was almost a pop star — her band Puff, Rocks and Brown was originally signed to Island Records. Lately, she’s returned to her musical roots and (big surprise) audiences and critics are finding her music every bit as intelligent, beautiful and original as her acting. A decade after her first solo release Everything I’ve Got in My Pocket came out to rare reviews (the BBC called it “genuinely emotional” and a “smooth ride”), Driver has released a follow-up record, Seastories. Now she comes to The Canyon to share these new songs and share another facet of her remarkable talent. Singer/songwriter/guitarist Jessarae opens.
