Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with an all-star tribute to Cuban singer and bandleader Benny Moré, a master of Latin jazz and other Cuban genres. Featuring internationally celebrated percussionists, Lucas Van Merwijk and Calixto Oviedo, backed by the Cal State University, Los Angeles Afro Latin Alumni Ensemble, this 25-piece orchestra will evoke the nostalgia of the big band era and the magic of Moré’s prowess. Part of the Summer Sundays at MOAA concert series, this tribute to a Cuban musical icon will also feature Salsa & Bachata with DJ JoJo and his Mambo Madness.
