The Sundance (Catdance?) of all animal-centric film festivals, The L.A. Feline Film Festival is poised to pounce the City of Angels. Get ready for a day of fun, excitement and cats — real cats, cartoon cats, cat memes, even special appearances by celebrity kitties like Tara the Hero Cat (the cat who saved a boy from a dog attack) and Lil Bub, the age-defying “perma-kitten.” In addition to a curated screening of the best cat videos on Internet, there’s also an incredible lineup of musical acts including Nylon Pink (described as “Hello Kitty” on acid), American Idol’s Alex Nester and rocker Tarra Layne who will present a “Special Smelly Cat Encore.” With a portion of proceeds given to local cat sanctuaries, the Festival is a purr-fect outing for felines and their pet humans alike.
