Following a sold-out run in 2011 (when it won the LA Weekly Award for Best Musical) and successful New York and European tours, hilarious cult favorite Re-Animator The Musical returns to the Steve Allen Theater stage — just in time for Halloween. Assembled by the original creators of the classic 1985 film, Re-Animator The Musical riffs off the H.P. Lovecraft tale of a handsome young medical student who becomes involved in a bizarre experiment to bring the dead back to life. This laugh-out-loud production features a witty score and imaginatively gory special effects and puppetry, designed by the same team who created them for the movie. Be warned: The first few rows live up to their designation as a faux bloody/bodily fluid “splash zone.”
