Dorothy Chandler Pavilion – 5th Floor Space (Los Angeles, CA)

Famed for its warmly intimate and interactive stage-free chamber concerts, La Salon de Musiques returns to the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion with Expressionism & Impressionism, a “Christmas Salon.” This holiday performance celebrates four European Masters — Ravel, Bax, Gnesin and Cras — and includes three USA premieres. UCLA musicologist Julius Reder Carlson introduces La Salon’s ensemble of world renowned performers: flutist Pamela Vliek-Martchev; harpist Marcia Dickstein; violinists Jessica Guideri and Erik Arvinder; violist Rob Brophy; and cellist John Walz. There’s a Q&A with the musicians after the performance, along with a reception featuring Champagne and a buffet catered by Patina.
