Legendary Comedian Don Rickles at the Saban Theatre

Known as “The Merchant of Venom” for his insult comedy, Don Rickles is one of the 20th century’s most famous funnymen. He pulls no punches on his targets, but it’s all in good fun — and he’s an equal-opportunity offender. Early in his career, Rickles realized that the best way to respond to hecklers was by slinging insults their way. And then he discovered that nobody does it better. For almost 40 years, Rickles has entertained in top showrooms in Atlantic City, Reno, Lake Tahoe and Las Vegas, becoming a favorite of Frank Sinatra, who gave him the pet name “bullet-head.” He was also a frequent guest on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson, appearing more than 100 times.
