Veteran comedian Al Lubel is best known for his five appearances on the Late Show With David Letterman, headlines The Garrett Morris Downtown Blues and Comedy Club. Known for his self-deprecating comedy, Lubel took an unusual path to stand-up success: he moved to Los Angeles to become a lawyer. He soon gave up law to pursue comedy full-time, headlining clubs across the country. He’s been a $100,000 Grand Prize winner on Star Search, and was one of the last comics to appear on Johnny Carson’s The Tonight Show.
