Veteran stand-up comic Al Lubel is best known for his multiple appearances on the Late Show With David Letterman — and now he headlines the Yoo Hoo Room at Flappers Comedy Club Burbank. Known for his self-deprecating sense of humor, Lubel took an unusual path to stand-up success: he moved to Los Angeles to become a lawyer. He soon gave up law to pursue comedy full-time, headlining clubs across the country. He’s been a $100,000 Grand Prize winner on Star Search, and was one of the last comics to appear on Johnny Carson’s The Tonight Show.
