Called “a shining feature in L.A.’s cultural landscape” by the L.A. Times, the acclaimed Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra celebrates the season under the baton of Jeffrey Kahane with a collection of baroque favorites, including Corelli’s Christmas Concerto. But Kahane not only conducts, he also takes a turn at the harpsichord, where he’ll be joined by Patricia Mabee, Ian Pritchard and Gilbert Martinez for a grand performance of baroque master Bach’s Concerto in A minor for Four Harpsichords. The concert is also set to feature Allan Vogel on Albinoni’s Oboe Concerto and a stellar quartet of violinists, who’ll open the show with Vivaldi’s Concerto in B minor. Following the Orchestra’s signature “conversations” style, Kahane and the other musicians will introduce these works from the stage, and you can also attend a pre-concert reception with the artists.
