Known for her complex acoustic melodies and eloquent, outspoken lyrics, the fiercely independent DiFranco has developed a huge following across the country, and has released more than 20 studio albums on her own label, Righteous Babe Records. Her latest release Allergic to Water debuted in November to much critical acclaim (“one of the singer-songwriter’s strongest and most introspective releases” — Acoustic Guitar). She plays the Orpheum with special guest indie pop/folk trio Pearl and the Beard (“Their zero to sixty music style … [gets] you tapping your toes and clapping your hands.” — Filter Magazine).
