You’ve probably never been to a classical musical concert like this before — where you decide what happens next on stage. But you’ll have the chance when SHUFFLE comes to the Smothers Theatre in Malibu. What started as an idea to pick a setlist based on the shuffle mode on an MP3 player has turned into an extremely successful format of letting you — the audience — choose the playlist for the night’s program. It will then be performed by a group of exceptionally accomplished chamber musicians. The members of SHUFFLE are graduates of Juilliard, New England Conservatory, Oberlin, Mannes and Bard College, and they’ve all individually won numerous prizes and performed extensively as soloists and collaboratively throughout the world.
