Zephyr Theatre (West Hollywood, CA)
Nicholas Guest — a veteran Hollywood actor who’s appeared in or lent his voice to everything from Mad Men to Frozen to National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation — explores a lifetime in search of a personal identity through music, poetry, comedy and storytelling in Finding Nick. It’s the tail end of the ’60s, the mythical “Summer of Love,” and just as a young Guest is choosing a college and gearing up for his life to begin, his British diplomat father is reassigned to Geneva — and the whole family must immediately relocate. The Zephyr Theater presents the premiere of this autobiographical show, which mixes vignettes of the eccentric characters Guest encounters along his travels with popular songs of the period — sung in both English and French — that Guest performs with accompaniment from guitar, cello and additional vocals courtesy of his daughter, Elizabeth Guest.
