Acclaimed actor Julian Sands (A Room With a View, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo) combines the poems and political prose of Nobel Prize-winning writer Harold Pinter with his own personal anecdotes, in an engaging solo performance directed by award-winning actor-director John Malkovich. Both Malkovich and Sands worked with Pinter, who was famed for his dark “comedies of menace” like The Homecoming and Betrayal, as well as his strong political views. This show, A Celebration of Harold Pinter, was nominated for a Drama Desk award in 2013 and has been well-received internationally. Sands is set to stick around for a Q&A after the performance at Cal State Northridge’s Plaza del Sol Performance Hall.
