Cuban musicians will be on hand to provide the live Latin-influenced score for the debut of this all-new musical about forgoing the safe path to follow your true passion in life. L.A. native Gladys Ortega, better known as “Cuba Swift,” made her name on the hip hop and salsa scene as a passionate rapper and performer. Now she’s co-created this upbeat show featuring singing, dancing and comic moments, designed to be enjoyed by the entire family at South Pasadena’s Fremont Centre Theatre. Special guests Lily & Calixto Oviendo and Angela Polk are slated to make appearances as well. Saturday night’s show includes a post-performance champagne reception.
