The Hand That Rocks the World:

Feminist Power Under the Banner of Powerlessness

Join us for the Toronto book launch of David Shackleton’s The Hand That Rocks the World: an Inquiry Into Truth, Power and Gender on Thursday, May 21st at 7:00PM at the Canadian Centre for Men and Families, 152 Carlton St., Unit 201.

Food and beverages will be available.

David’s book looks at the puzzle of feminist power under a banner of powerlessness. He will argue that men and women enjoy different kinds of power, although one is acknowledged and the other ignored. Many people are unconscious of this power since it operates under a cover story of male power and female victimhood.

David’s provocative presentation will include suggestions for breaking through stereotypes and assumptions that impede our progress on gender equality, especially on behalf of boys, men and fathers.

We will be selling copies of David’s book so don’t miss the chance to get an autographed copy
