Interfaith, Intercultural Romance Explored in Paloma
Los Angeles Theatre Center (Los Angeles, CA)

When a pair of NYU students, a practicing Muslim and a Catholic in name only, begin to study an ancient treatise on the art and practice of love, they find themselves debating the complexity of love while at the same time growing closer to one another in the romantic drama Paloma. Can these budding lovers, whose faith and cultures are seemingly at odds with each other, find happiness in a post 9/11 world? This thought-provoking production explores whether coexistence is still possible in today’s fractured society.
