Rose Will Studio is celebrating three years of art and neighborhood interaction with a special event dedicated to the theme of the 1986 fantasy film, and the man behind it, David Bowie (Official)!
This PWYC/BYOB event will feature a ménage of goblins and other fantastic mythical creatures, live performance by a David Bowie cover band, body painting by The Human Canvas Project, face painting, tarot readings by Caroline Whitehead ($20 for 15 minutes), production design and projections by Second Star, and of course its very own labyrinth which will allow visitors entry to the sights and sounds within.
There will also be many fine examples of creative invention inspired by Bowie, and a wide array of other art on display by the artists and photographers of the collective – Vashty Hawkins, Michael Giel, Bruce Christie, Michael Pietrocarlo Photography, Tammy Moreau, Tennille Rose Will, Matti McLean, and (recently nominated by NOW Magazine as one of the city’s best independent artists) surrealist Rachel SV Parry
