AT&T Center Theatre (Los Angeles, CA)
As part of its monthly exploration of all that’s fresh and fascinating in film, NewFilmmakers Los Angeles’ In Focus short film series will celebrate the works of black filmmakers and the cinema of the Middle East. With Spotlight on Black Filmmakers the film festival will expose you to the perspectives of important emerging black directors like Stacey Muhammad, Eric Alexander-Hughes and Erica A. Watson. You’ll also transcend boarders with Cinema of the Middle East and Arabian Peninsula, displaying complex, personal and unique scenes captured from Israel, Iran and beyond. This AT&T Center Theatre event will also feature works from NFMLA’s International and Local Shorts Program, plus pre-screening receptions for each program, Q&A opportunities and an after-party.
