LA Phil Assistant Conductor Mirga Grazinyte-Tyla returns to the Hollywood Bowl to lead the orchestra in a concert sure to be one of the most talked-about of the season. After her impressive debut last summer — cited by The New Yorker’s Alex Ross among his Ten Notable Performances of 2014 — Grazinyte-Tyla has become a rising star of classical music. She’ll conduct the orchestra in performances of Bernstein’s unforgettable Serenade and an exotic instrumental reworking of Bizet’s dramatic score from Carmen.
