Crawfish, crayfish, freshwater lobsters, mudbugs — whatever you call ’em, these pint-sized crustaceans are one of the tastiest parts of summer. Now you can savor the flavor of New Orleans when the 22nd annual Long Beach Crawfish Festival returns to Rainbow Lagoon. Dance to cajun, zydeco and New Orleans-style jazz and blues, and join the second line dance parade featuring the Orleans Second Line Club. Once you’ve worked up an appetite, you can feast on a cajun meal featuring crawfish, succulent red baby potatoes and buttery corn on the cob all prepared in the world’s largest crawfish pots. There’ll also be Café du Monde-style chicory coffee and beignets, a children’s stage featuring comedy and magic, and tons of summertime fun at the largest Mardi Gras experience west of the Mississippi.
