"Sibling Rivalry"

The relationship between siblings is one of the closest, yet most combative relationships that you can have. They shared your past and wherever you are in your life, they offer a shrewd reminder of who you really are and where you came from. This complicated relationship is explored in two short dramedies at Hollywood’s The Lounge Theatre 2. In Lone Star, Roy has returned home from Vietnam to his wife, his 1959 pink Thunderbird convertible and his kid brother, Ray. As he tries to re-adjust to the people and places he once knew so well, he finds that nothing can stay the same, and home might not be as comforting as he had hoped. Rosemary with Ginger returns to the stage for its first Los Angeles production in over twenty years. It takes place at The Peter Pan Diner, which is finally closing its doors and ending a long chapter in Ginger’s life story. For as long as the two sisters can remember, Ginger has been the rock to Rosemary’s wind. Now, without the business as a buffer, Ginger and Rosemary must learn how to live with each other, or kill each other trying.
