Valley Performing Arts Center – Great Hall (Northridge, CA)
Linda Ronstadt, whose incomparable singing voice has been silenced by Parkinson’s disease, makes a rare public appearance at the Valley Performing Arts Center. Joined in conversation by Dan Guerrero, Ronstadt will talk about her musical journey and what music has meant to her life. One of the best-selling and most honored artists in music history, the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer, National Medal of the Arts recipient and 11-time Grammy winner’s unbelievable musical output ranges from pop, rock, country, bluegrass and Americana to opera, jazz, tropical Latin, Cajun and even the double-platinum Mexican folk album Canciones de Mi Padre. That Grammy-winning disc just happens to be the biggest-selling non-English-language album in U.S. music history. Ronstadt, a dedicated political activist and national arts advocate, also recently wrote a memoir titled Simple Dreams.
