Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons With Anne Akiko Meyers

So enamored was King Louis XV with Antonio Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons, he’d spontaneously order his court musicians to break out into the “Spring” concerto. Non-monarchs may find it a bit more difficult to hear this stunning, timeless piece live, but now you can hear conductor David Lockington lead the Pasadena Symphony through this masterwork. They’ll be joined by a special guest, violinist Anne Akiko Meyers, whose 2014 release of The Four Seasons helped make her Billboard‘s Top Selling Classical Instrumentalist of the year. This all-baroque show at the Ambassador Auditorium will also feature Pachelbel’s Canon, Bach’s Air on the G String, and works by Purcell and Dorman.
