Thrash-Rockers Primus Bring Anything-Goes Attitude to Stage
Orpheum Theatre (Los Angeles, CA)

Primus, the thrash-punk band founded by Les Claypool, has been rocking for nearly a quarter of a century and is now taking the stage at The Orpheum. In the tradition of eclectic artists like Pink Floyd and Frank Zappa, Claypool and his bandmates have created an original and difficult-to-categorize sound. Claypool once famously labeled the Primus sound “psychedelic polka,” but you’ll have to judge for yourself. Expect to hear tunes from throughout the band’s career including “Jack Was a Race Car Driver” and “Tommy the Cat” from their gold album Sailing the Seas of Cheese.
