JAYU! JAYU!

So thrilled to have Jayu on board for the Artists In Exile/ Tibetans Of Toronto Arts And Culture Festival! Thank you so much to Gilad, Alicks and their awesome team:)

Since 2012, Jayu has used art to engage and empower communities while providing a platform for the world’s most remarkable people to share their human rights stories. Jayu means freedom in Korean (자유) and Jayu envisions a world where freedom exists for everyone. Jayu’s mission is to use art to share human rights stories and lay the groundwork for positive social change.

Jayu Speaks, one of the amazing projects from Jayu, is hosting a panel discussion about traditional and contemporary Tibetan art in exile and the state of traditional art practice within Tibet.

This discussion will feature Urgyen Badheytsang(Tibetan activist), Dorjee Tsering(Tibetan musician and performer), Khydup Gyatso(featured artist), Lungtok Gyatso(featured artist) and Andrea Paras(Assistant Professor of Political Science at the University Of Guelph).
