El Camino College Center for the Arts — Marsee Auditorium (Torrance, CA)
A Grammy Award-winning six-string ensemble, the Los Angeles Guitar Quartet brings a brilliant new energy to musical traditions as varied as bluegrass and Bach. Now, for a special program at the El Camino College Center for the Arts, these four uniquely accomplished musicians will be by a troupe of dancers from LA Flamenco and mesmerizing mezzo-soprano Janelle DeStefano for A Night of Spanish Romance. This passionate program will include Iberian-influenced works by Gerónimo Giménez, Luigi Boccherini, Claude Debussy, Georges Bizet and Manuel De Falla and will culminate with a dramatic production of de Falla’s ballet El Amor Brujo. A riveting tale of love and sorcery, this spellbinding work brings the passion of Spain’s gypsy spirit to life at Marsee Auditorium.
