Co-created by one of the writers of The Golden Girls (a guy who should know a little something about comic quartets of female friends), The Hallelujah Girls features a feisty foursome who gather every Friday afternoon at their local abandoned church-turned-day spa known as Spa-Dee-Dah! to share conversation and fellowship. But after their lives are shaken up by the death of a friend, the ladies — high-spirited leader Sugar Lee, nervous wreck Nita, romantically unfulfilled Mavis and sweet, simple Crystal — decide to stop wasting time and start pursuing their dreams. Although unexpected twists and turns challenge the group, they respond with plenty of spunk and heartwarming humor. Spend an evening with the girls at the Canyon Theatre Guild Playhouse in Newhall.
