JP Hoe with special guest NEFE
We’re big fans of this purveyor of Americana by way of Winnipeg, JP Hoe, who recently signed with Maple Music Recordings and believes he’s only as good as his last show. Equipped with a healthy sense of humour (his annual December concert is called The JP Hoe Hoe Hoe Holiday Show) and a poet’s soul, this disciple of Neil Young and Joni Mitchell is primed for big things.
With her powerful and soulful voice, skilled guitar-playing and natural songwriting skills, it should come as no surprise that Guelph’s NEFE won the 2014 RBC Canada’s Walk of Fame Emerging Artist award. On November 7, she’ll be performing tracks from her upcoming debut album and proving why she’s considered one of the country’s most promising acts.
