In fact, a year after it was published in 1843, eight different theatrical productions were running in London. The impulse is obvious: it’s a tale written for the stage. Ebenezer Scrooge is a tightfisted miser, hellbent on hoarding his money, when he is visited by the ghosts of Christmas past, present and future. Can they convince him to see the error of his ways before it’s too late? Watch this poignant — and oftentimes spectacular — drama unfold at Thousand Oaks’ Scherr Forum Theatre.
