Imagine a book club, but with buttons. Except, sometimes the book vibrates and beeps and gives you a high score.
That book club would be Game Curious, a free program in Toronto where participants discover the untapped potential of video games as a storytelling medium for creative expression that anyone can be a part of.
For six weeks, the Hand Eye Society and Ryerson University is holding Game Curious, a video game outreach program for a diverse range of participants interested in the untapped art of video games. Regardless of experience, everyone is encouraged to join.
When: Saturdays in March and April, 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
PLAY Sessions: March 12, 19, 26; April 2, 16, 23 (skipping April 9!)
MAKE Sessions: Saturdays, April 30 to June 4
Where: The Launch Zone, Ryerson University (3rd floor), 341 Yonge Street
Who: Artists, educators, parents, activists, students, non-gamers and you! (recommended for ages 14+)
