About ‘La Suite du Petit Prince’:
An Enchanting Blend of Storytelling and Music
Music based on the novella by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry.“If you please, draw me a sheep…” so begins the encounter with the most extraordinary small person in Antoine De Saint-Exupéry’s beloved classic. In this presentation, the story is conveyed through a seven-movement suite written for string quartet and jazz quintet. With the help of select drawings from the book projected onto the back wall of the stage, and short passages of French text, the resulting multilayered presentation is, like the novel that inspired it, enjoy-able by all ages – children and grown-ups alike!

Un Mélange Enchanteur d’Histoires et de Musique
Concert basé sur la novella d’Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. <<S’il vous plaît… dessine-moi un mouton!>> Ainsi commence la rencontre avec l’enfant extraordinaire de l’histoire classique. Dans cette présentation, on raconte l’histoire au travers d’une suite musicale de sept mouvements réalisée par une quintette de jazz. Accompagné par des illustrations tirées du roman projetées au mur, et des passages courts du texte français, le concert multidisciplinaire est, comme le roman qui l’a inspiré, une expérience amusante peu importe son age – enfants et grandes personnes incluses!
