slowly and together mother and son search for a feeling alive before, beside, and beyond birth. this work moves toward a time before love, before the sensation of us turned to you and I, before we were veiled in the fantasy of individualism and separation. before, beside, and beyond real-life.

this duet-dance-performance engages the imaginary-action of touching-without-feeling towards the reconstruction of the corporeal conditions of pre-birth. their touch imagines a communication that might pre-exist linguistic impositions on togetherness.

A series of curated dance works from around the world and around the corner. On July 7th and 8th & July 14th and 15th, over a dozen artists will share experimental contemporary dance, including European dance superstars, emerging Canadian artists, and some of Toronto's most influential choreographers.

Both weeks will include Friday night post-performance PARTIES with live music / DJ sets.
