On July 22nd, we invite members of the community to join us for a meal and sneak peek preview of Osia, which will be presented in the 2016 SummerWorks Festival. For only $20 you will receive a home-cooked traditional Ghanaian meal and will have the chance to watch the cast perform excerpts of the show during that night's rehearsal.
The space for this event has been donated to us by the University of Toronto Drama Centre, and we received donations from Loblaws and Sobeys Urban Fresh to cover our food costs: This means that your entire admission cost will go towards covering our production costs and paying the artists involved in this production.
When you buy a ticket for this event, you are supporting a production which brings together
both emerging and established professional theatre artists putting an emphasis on mentorship and knowledge sharing – and that provides opportunities for local actors of African-Canadian and Caribbean- Canadian descent.
