Toronto has a rich history heritage as a hot bed for Jazz and now the tradition moves north to Downtown Markham. Saturdays throughout August will feature Downtown Markham Jazz Festival, a Saturday series festival in the plaza from 4:00 – 10:00 p.m. (Located on the south side of 169 & 179 Enterprise Blvd)
SATURDAY, AUG 6
4-5:30 PM Chris Wallace – A progressive quartet making vibrant sounds on the local jazz scene
6-7:30 PM Liza Williams – Acoustic contemporary artist bridging pop, jazz and blues
8-10:00 PM Cat Bernardi – Original jazz music featuring crystalline sound and timeless style
SATURDAY, AUG 13
4-5:30 PM AJ Ing Trio – A trio bringing swing, blues, funk and Latin
6-7:30 PM Roger Chong – Melodic and upbeat jazz featured on CBC Radio
8-10:00 PM ZIMZUM – A quartet featuring jazz, funk, Cuban, R & B and free improvisation

4-5:30 PM Steve Amirault – Piano and soulful baritone
6-7:30 PM Quincy Bullen – Funky vibe style with Caribbean roots
