To launch the BeYou campaign at Bramalea City Centre on Wednesday, August 24, members of the local media and community leaders will be teaming up with Little Sisters to create their own BeYou branded t-shirts. Visit www.bramaleacitycentre.ca for more information, event schedules and registration.
Armed with a basic design kit including scissors, fabric paint and embellishments, plus additional items that reflect their own unique personalities, participants are encouraged to cut in and get creative when designing their own elaborate t-shirt. Finished designs will be on display throughout the BeYou event and will be auctioned off in a silent auction in support of Big Brothers Big Sisters Canada.
Imagine a society where girls grow up with endless self-confidence, self-esteem and pride in celebrating their diversity. Bramalea City Centre (BCC) and Big Brothers Big Sisters Canada have joined forces to celebrate the uniqueness of every girl across Canada with BeYou from Wednesday, August 24 until Saturday, August 27 in Hudson’s Bay Court at BCC from 11:00am to 8:00pm. With interactive programs for all ages, all events are FREE and are designed to provide young females better access to developmental tools that will help increase self-esteem, personal growth, self-worth and empower young women who are coming of age in a media and technology driven time.
BCC’s workshops and events in conjunction with Big Brothers Big Sisters Canada cater to the Brampton community and explore and encourage confidence in creativity and self-expression, health of mind and body, understanding of media and its impact on who we are and the value of team and individual sport.
